Hotels-Paris.co.uk - Paris Gets Involved in European Heritage Days
The city's most important buildings open their doors to the public.
PARIS, FRANCE, August 06, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As in most cities, Paris does not allow the general public access to important buildings such as the Senate and the President's official residence at the Palais de l'Elysee.
Whilst this is understandable, it does not mean that the general public will not be naturally curious anyway.
This curiosity can be satisfied on just two days a year, and in 2011 these days are September 19th-20th, when these buildings will temporarily allow the man on the street the chance to wander in and have a look around.
In total, around 14,000 buildings will open across the whole of France, including many museums and historical monuments, and naturally many of the most important ones are found at the heart of Paris.
It is an ideal opportunity to explore a wealth of French history.
Hotels-paris.co.uk can offer many cheap hotels all across the city to cater for visitors during the Heritage Days. Helvetia is just one of many choices available.
