The official ATP World Tour 250 competition is taking place in the Malay capital for a third time in 2011 and will commence with qualifying rounds on September 24th and 25th, with the main draw matches following between September 26th and October 2nd.
 
Encompassing men's singles and doubles contests, the Malaysian Open will be broadcast worldwide and will feature some of the best players in the world.
 
Among the confirmed competitors are Nikolay Davydenko, Jurgen Melzer, Janko Tipsarevic and reigning champion Mikhail Youzhny, who came from a set behind to defeat Andrey Golubev in last year's final.
