Professionals and amateurs will tee off at the Laguna Phuket Golf Club in June.

PHUKET, THAILAND, June 17, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The second annual Phuket Property Dot Com Pro Am Invitational will take place later this month and involve enthusiastic amateurs sharing the links with seasoned professionals.

Spectators can expect to see up to 30 touring pros at the Laguna Phuket Golf Club, including US trio Andy Leadbetter, Bryan Saltus and Gerry Norquist.

As well as being a celebration of golf, the event is about raising money for the Phuket Has Been Good To Us Foundation.

The inaugural contest in 2010 saw 500,000 baht (GBP10,000) collected for charity and the organisers are hoping to top that figure this year.

Jamnian Chitprasong, Llewellyn Matthews, CJ Gatto and Chayuda Singhsuwan are among the other professional names on the 2011 roster.

Last year, the competition was won by Thai player Udorn Duangdecha, who finished just ahead of Simon Yates and Corey Harris.

But it is not all about the pros; it is always a nice surprise for spectators when the amateurs enjoy a great day of golf and card a lower score than their professional partners.

The competition will begin on Friday June 17th, with a gala dinner scheduled in the evening.
