Fresh from chart success, UK rapper Example is set to arrive in Bournemouth later this year.

BOURNEMOUTH, ENGLAND, August 28, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Music fans may be tempted to look up Bournemouth hotels for the forthcoming Example gig.

The up-and-coming British rapper, who scored a major hit with his single Kickstarts in June, is set to play the Bournemouth O2 Academy on Friday October 8th.

Formerly signed to a record label run by Mike Skinner of The Streets, Example recently managed to cross over into the mainstream with Won't Go Quietly, his second studio album.

The London-based musician - real name Elliot Gleave - enjoyed his first top ten single with the album's title track, which charted at number six in January.

Kickstarts, which features production from drum and bass star Sub Focus, marked Example's biggest success to date by reaching number three on the UK singles chart.

Describing his current style on his MySpace page as "dysfunctional electro pop", the rapper looks set to win even more fans as he tours venues around the UK and releases new single Last Ones Standing this autumn.

Tickets for his Bournemouth gig, which is due to get underway at 19:00 BST, are available online for GBP10 plus booking fee.
